AMD is in a position to grab some of NVIDIA’s market share
In a YouTube presentation this morning, AMD at last revealed more details – including the all-important MSRPs – about the Radeon RX 9070 Series, which are being released on March 6. And here is pricing:
- AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT: $599 USD
- AMD Radeon RX 9070: $549 USD
Why are they just $50 apart? You may as well ask why the RX 7900 XT launched at $899 USD when the much faster RX 7900 XTX was just $100 more, but we aren’t supposed to understand these things.
(Jaded editorial comments:) Besides, is there any chance of actually getting a 9070 XT for $599 even one day after launch? The RX 9070 will be the RX 7900 XT all over again – the only one available at launch, and most models will be listed for more than suggest price of the faster card.
