We want to clarify an issue that may have caused concern. Earlier today, at approximately 10:20 Eastern Time (ET) / 17:00 Central European Time (CET), a deployment glitch in AWS affected our notification and password reset functionality, causing our system to inadvertently send password reset emails to all existing UnderDefense MAXI users.

This was an internal deployment error, not a security breach or malicious activity. Your credentials and personal data remain secure. To be clear:

  • Your account remains secure, and no action is required unless you choose to update your password.
  • If you have already reset your password as a precaution, that is perfectly fine, but not necessary.

We deeply regret the confusion this may have caused, especially given the nature of our security-conscious community. We are conducting a full review to prevent this from happening again and appreciate your understanding.
